In Hibernation

Hey guys!  How’ve you been?  I’ve been just fine.  First I want to say thanks so much to those of you who left kind words (or even just thought them) for Mocha.  She’s really important to us and it hurt so much finding out she was so sick but now it’s just about keeping her comfortable.

So what have I been up to?  Hibernating actually.  I quit going out for the most part and I’ve been trying to study study study.  It’s paying off though because I got a 94 and a 96 on my last two tests Open-mouthed smile  If I want to get on the Dean’s list however, I can only miss two questions total from my next two tests.  Yeesh!  I’m also down to my last couple of weeks in this phase of training.  I’m extremely terrified super excited to finish up and get to the clinical training.  We’ve learned a lot in the last couple of weeks.

as well as how to draw arterial blood gases, how to help patients drain their lungs, bronchoscopies and a ton more.  All interesting but it’s stressing me out thinking I’m going to actually be working in a hospital with, you know –  real patients – in just under a month.

Something else I managed to do and that I’ll share in another post, is some road clean up.  I was really annoyed riding past so much trash on the roads and trails that I decided to go pick some of it up.  My bags filled up quick so I’m going to have to go out again and get more of it.

Another big thing is that these three clowns are in San Antonio with me for the next 5 weeks!

On their way from Tucson

The Hubs and I decided that we’re not going to give Mocha chemo but since we both had school in San Antonio, we didn’t want to leave her in Tucson without us.  So I worked it out with my rental company and I can have her here in the apartment for a hefty fee but it’s worth it.  We get to have our girl here and I have two furry faces that brighten my day every time I come home.  Seriously, is there anything better than two wiggly puppies so excited to see you?

Anywho, I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!
