Weekend Ramblings: Adapted Workouts & Austin Fun

So how was your weekend?  Mine didn’t go completely as planned but of course that’s ok!  On Saturday, I didn’t get up in time for my trip to the gym which would have thrown everything off on the schedule so I stayed home and changed my workout.  I needed something lower impact than running so I did a 20 x 20 challenge. 

20 x 20 Challenge

1 min each of the following:

  • Jog on spot or do high knees
  • Squat Jacks
  • Single-Leg Squat touchdowns
  • Bicycle Crunches
  • Left Oblique Crunches
  • Right Oblique Crunches
  • Scissor Kicks
  • Overhead Crunches
  • Burpees
  • Tricep Dips
  • Push-Ups
  • Kneeling push-ups
  • Arm Pumps
  • Prisoner squats
  • Jumping Lunges
  • Side Lunges
  • Lunges with knee lifts
  • Wall Sit
  • Squat Jumps
  • Mountain Climbers

Phew!  That’s a long list.  I did that followed by a 10 min stretch.  I felt good enough to run afterwards but the apartment gym only has ONE treadmill and it was being utilized.  By the way, if you have an android phone, I got this workout from the Workout Trainer app.  I’ve been doing a lot of the circuits on there if I can’t get out for a run or want to work on a specific group of t like core, or just legs or what not. 

Let’s transition from working out to the trip to Austin, shall we?
