I love the sunshine! Don’t you? I didn’t realize how much I miss being a morning person until this weekend. Normally I try to sleep 8/9 AM – 4/5 PM and then I hang out in my room until I leave for work at 10 PM. On Friday though I had a really hard time sleeping and so I didn’t manage to get out of bed until 830 PM! I’m so glad I slept in though. I was able to stay awake until 2 PM and I had the best day in such a long time (with the exception of when my hubby was here of course).
- I spent 2 hours video chatting with the hubby
- read blogs did homework
- went to the base track for a morning workout
- went downtown and got a pedicure and haircut
- had lunch at a Thai restaurant and this time really worked on homework
What a great day right? My legs are sore after my workout this morning. It was just what I needed and I’m sure it contributed to my sunny attitude.
I walked here, did a mini strength routine to warm up and then did 3 timed mile repeats. I made two big mistakes though. Mistake #1 – Forgot my watch Instead I approximated the times by writing down the songs I listened to during each mile. I paused the music as soon as I crossed the finish line each time so I knew how many seconds into the song I was. Mistake #2 – I accidentally miscounted my laps and skipped one on my last mile. Ah well, I won’t forget my watch next time. Here’s the workout:
- 2 x 10 pushups
- 2 x 16 lunges
- 2 x 30 sec planks
- 2 x 15 squats
So the track is a 250m loop on top of a parking garage. Do you see what I see?
